You may want to check out Painbanishment.com. It is a website about a book written on the STS machine. But it has a pretty good explanation you can read right on the site without getting the book. You can also get a sample of the book on Blish.com for a couple of dollars. To get results with the STS, you need to go to the doctor who designed the machine because he individualizes for each person. Or you might find a doctor or therapist who is trained to use the machine properly. Good luck.

I give up I've looked for awhile now for an apartment that is affordable on SSI and I cant find even one in the Ithaca journal or online. Is there a secret place to go to find cheap apartments or mobile homes? Or do the cheaper places only stick a sign in front of the place?

I am looking for a "bed cane" that allows you to push up out of bed better. I saw one at the sears website. Has anyone found these useful? I think if they only slide in under the mattress they may not be sturdy enough(?) Thank you for your input-Michelle 838-0402, mms24@cornell.edu (e-mail best-providing long distance care ie: on the road a lot!)

Hi Sharon, I just moved into the area with my 3 daughters. One of them is severely handicapped and I am in search of a way to get her in and out of the house to go to school before the snows come. One possibility is a stair climber through the basement to ground level. Unfortunately I cannot afford to purchase this type of unit, Would you consider donating it at this time ? Another alternative would be an exterior platform lift capable of 8 to 14 feet. If you or anyone can help, you can reach me at 533 7151. Thanks...

I have a Dynatron STS home unit for chronic pain. I used it for severe and chronic back pain for 2 years. I can no longer use it because I had a neurostimulator implant (also for chronic pain) and it interferes with the unit. A great side benefit was a noticeable improvement of restless leg syndrome. Information is available on internet at medtronics.com.

I am in desperate need of a dual TENS machine. I have a severe chronic pain condition and my TENS machine broke and I can't afford another one. My physical therapist highly recommends this for me. If you have one that you would be willing to donate or let me borrow or even sell to me fairly cheaply I would be very grateful. Please call me at 273-7192 if you don't get an answer leave a message. Also, if you have any other suggestions for me please let me know. Thank you.

I have a stimulator made by Medtronics that I bought when I was having severe and chronic back pain. I used it twice a day and it really helped. It is more expensive than a TENS unit which did not really help me. But I would be willing to discuss price. You could find information about it on the internet at Medtronic.com. It is a home unit called Dynatron. I also have all of the documentation for setting it up for different problems.

I just had the same experience. Maybe the a BB Administrator could set a limit on all messages and clear them out periodically. It's a maintenance chore for sure but it might make the listings pertinent and that would encourage more use.
