EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH COORDINATOR

PART TIME—20 HOURS PER WEEK

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develops, implements and coordinates agency outreach projects and programs.
2. Develops and implements public education and information services about individuals with disabilities.
3. Performs all clerical, managerial and administrative responsibilities asrequired.
4. Arranges coverage for tabling events.

5. Performs other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Two year degree from accredited college or university preferred and/or relevant experience.
2. Experience in community education preferred
3. Knowledge of community resources and services
4. Ability to work independently, under pressure and with a wide variety of people
5. Knowledge of computer/pagemaker program
6. Personal experience with a disability is an asset.

Learn American Sign Language

ASL I: Watch for announcement of fall classes

Payment must be received upon registration. The required Text: A Basic Course in American Sign Language ($36.95) will be available the first day of class.

These classes are designed for adults and teenagers

**Classes may be subject to cancellation if there is insufficient enrollment. Payment by check or cash reserves a space. First-come, first served.

No refunds once class begins.
